Life can often feel overwhelming and difficult to navigate. Whether you’re facing past trauma, the challenges of parenthood, or unresolved feelings from childhood, having a space to talk openly can make all the difference. That’s why I offer a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace.

As a person-centred counsellor, my approach is rooted in empathy, warmth, and respect for your unique experiences. I believe that healing begins with feeling heard, and my role is to walk alongside you as you make sense of what’s on your mind.

I have experience working with mothers in our group therapy sessions, supporting them through the emotional complexities of motherhood. However, my work extends to anyone seeking clarity, connection, and a deeper understanding of themselves.

Whatever brings you to therapy, you are welcome here.

My journey to yoga teaching has been both unexpected and felt totally natural at the same time. I went to my first yoga class as a teenager have been practising ever since. My practise became increasingly important to me as I progressed in my career in the corporate world. Getting on to the yoga mat always brought me back home to myself, little moments in my week where I remembered who I really was and what I needed, physically and mentally. I listened on the mat in a way I did not in my day to day life. The more I practised the more fascinated I became as to how and why yoga could make this happen and I felt this deep yearning to know more.

I enrolled on my yoga teacher training and what began as personal exploration has completely changed my life. I would never have imagined stepping into that first yoga class as a teenager that I would one day be privileged enough to be teaching yoga to others. I wasn’t then, and am still not, the most flexible person in the room! But, as I have learned, yoga is so much more than this. Through the exploration of physical postures we can learn so much about what is really going on within: some days that may be the need to deeply stretch out our muscles, some days it may be noticing just how deeply tired we are and nudging us to take more rest.

I feel truly honoured to be in a position now to be able to guide others. I am passionate about helping everyone see that yoga can be for them and beneficial for both the body and the mind. For me, it’s not about how flexible you are or how good you are at arm balancing (although yoga is amazing for this of course) but about helping to create a nurturing space for you to take some time for you: to move in a way that feels good and empowering you to listen to what your body wants to tell you, because this is truly your greatest teacher.

I am a warm, compassionate therapist supporting clients through creative, relational, and trauma-informed approaches. I work one to one with children, young people and adults offering a safe, non-judgmental space for healing and growth.

Alongside my private practice, I work an NHS Mother and Baby Unit as a specialist in parental and perinatal mental health. Here, I support families navigating complex mental health challenges, including fathers and partners during times of acute crisis. I’m deeply committed to helping the whole family move through difficulty with strength, understanding, and connection.

As well as seeking support for current life challenges, many of the clients I work with come to therapy to explore how their early experiences, continue to shape their present day living, family dynamics, and relationship patterns. Together, we gently unpack what’s been carried over time offering space to process, heal, and reconnect with your sense of self.

My integrative approach brings together attachment theory, psychoanalytic thinking, neuroscience, and the expressive power of play and art therapy. With a background in the arts, I often weave creativity into the therapeutic process to help make sense of what can be hard to put into words.

Whether you’re facing current challenges or looking to understand yourself more deeply, you will be warmly welcomed. Please get in touch for an initial conversation.

I am a qualified Integrative Child, Adolescent and Adult Counsellor (PgDip, BACP), and I am in the final stages of completing my training as a Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychotherapist (MA, UKCP).

I am a Clinical Psychologist and have worked in the NHS in various roles for over 15 years. More recently, I have taken a break from clinical work to grow and nurture my young family. Prior to this, I worked with children and adolescents, their caregivers, families and the systems around them. I have also worked with adults experiencing a broad range of difficulties such as significant mental health challenges, neurodiversity, physical health conditions, and major life transitions. I love working with young people and the systems around them to help them move through difficult life experiences. I do so with compassion, creativity and curiosity and by developing a shared understanding of the problems the young person and family are facing. Together we look for stories that affirm the strengths and resilience of the young person or family while also drawing on various evidence based techniques that build up skills that might help guide them through adversity. I particularly love working with neurodivergent young people and adults, exploring together how they experience the world. I work predominantly from a trauma-informed perspective and a lot of my work with neurodivergent families focusses on the parent-child relationship. I draw on a broad range of models in my therapeutic work including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic psychotherapy, attachment-based therapies and more holistic approaches that look at how the mind and body interact.

I have always been passionate about wellbeing in all its forms and following a rewarding career in project management and consultancy, I found myself being drawn to counselling and wanting to find my place in the world helping others. As part of this journey, I started and continue, to work with vulnerable adults in mental health recovery work, providing practical and emotional support to individuals with complex and traumatic histories. I also have experience in grief counselling and offer pre-bereavement and bereavement counselling to family and friends of patients receiving hospice care. These diverse, multifaceted and nuanced lines of work are inherently aligned with my work as a person-centred counsellor.

The person-centred approach trusts that we are doing the best we can with what is available to us, and that we all have the capacity for change and growth when offered a safe environment where we are valued, understood and empowered – and this is what I strive to offer in my counselling practice. Sometimes we just need some support, someone to share our worries with, someone to help us explore our feelings, make sense of things, and come to our own solutions in our own time.

I believe being truly heard and accepted for who we are, without judgement and with authenticity is a precious experience that we all deserve, and that has the power to make a profound difference in our lives. My hope is to be your faithful companion on your therapeutic journey, supporting you in your process, whatever this means for you.

I’ve been practising yoga since I was a child. I learned that we’re designed to move, and our original movements were eastful and felt good. Now, (many) years later, that’s how I approach teaching yoga and training yoga teachers.

I’ve completed numerous courses, including a Masters in the traditions of yoga and meditation. Having studied yoga inside out, upside down I can honestly tell you yoga is for everybody.

Possibly more important than my qualifications, is my ability to create a space for you to remember who you were before conditioning and culture made you hold your body in unnatural, small and ultimately painful ways.

Our practise together is a journey home.

My classes blend gentle yet precise postures, breath awareness, and meditation. I encourage my students to cultivate presence and balance in both the body and mind. Most importantly, I believe yoga is not about flexibility or perfection, but about connection – to yourself, to your breath, and to the present moment. With a focus on accessibility, I design my classes to welcome all students, no matter what their age, experience, or body shape.

After living in Byron Bay, Yoga became an integral part of my self-care for focus, flexibility and connection. I went on to work for twenty years as a Primary School teacher, where I started to see a growing need for children to learn the tools for wellbeing and was keen to develop my knowledge of yoga further. Five years ago, I trained to become a Yoga teacher, and since then I have been passionate about sharing this knowledge with both adults and children.

My greatest joy is witnessing people’s discovery of how yoga can support them in building strength, peace, and resilience – both on and off the mat.

Life presents a multitude of events, challenges and obstacles, that at times can be difficult to surmount. Each person meets these with different perspectives and emotions; these differences are part of what makes us human.

Another vital part of being human is the need for connection and to share what we are experiencing, to help make sense of our existence. But if you’re feeling overwhelmed and resources are depleted, it can be hard to find space to reflect and find a way through.

I aim to offer a compassionate, safe and nonjudgemental environment, where you are free to explore what’s important to you. Together we will work collaboratively, and mindfully uncover the values and beliefs influencing your responses to concerns which may be arising.

My work is grounded in a person centred approach, which acknowledges your intrinsic capacity for growth and is informed by my long standing practices of mindful and somatic embodied awareness.

With conscious attention, I use my body and discreet interoception – the sense that helps us understand and feel what’s going on inside our bodies – to attune to your needs in our therapeutic relationship, and help you to determine the outcomes you desire.

I began working online and via telephone early March 2020 and have supported clients throughout the pandemic. I also facilitate therapeutic support groups for mothers who’ve experienced birthing alone, restricted visits, traumatic birth, pregnancy complications, premature birth and neonatal illness.

Sometimes it may feel that words are not enough to shift the layers of feelings held in the body. Attuning to the body’s messages and movement patterns can offer valuable insight into our inner processes, ways of relating, and how our inner worlds are reflected in our outer realities. Dance Movement Psychotherapy (DMP) is a form of Arts therapy that offers an alternative to talking therapy. DMP is a relational process that encourages experimentation and playfulness through creative and symbolic expression, focusing on the interconnectedness of the body and mind. DMP commonly follows a talk-move-talk structure and does not require previous movement experience or dance training. Movement props, music, and art materials are available to support the client’s individual needs and preferred ways of engaging. As a Dance Movement Psychotherapist, I am attuned to the client’s non-verbal, symbolic, and unconscious communication. My therapy approach is psychodynamic, trauma-informed, and movement-based. I provide a safe environment for verbal and creative expression in a supportive, confidential space. I work with all ages. I have clinical experience from a range of settings: schools, children’s homes, community mental health services, and adult NHS inpatient hospitals. I am registered with the Association for Dance Movement Psychotherapists (ADMPUK). Alongside my DMP practice, I work as a Therapeutic Life Story Work practitioner with children who have been through the care system.
